SGCproducts embarked on its venture in 2010 and has since blossomed into a renowned supplier of low-maintenance outdoor living solutions. Our corporate headquarters is situated in Toronto, Canada, and we’ve expanded our presence with branches in Quebec City, Montreal, and Boston, MA.

Do you offer showroom facilities for your products?

Yes, we currently maintain three showroom facilities. One is situated in Mississauga, ON, and the other two can be found in Montreal, QC, and Quebec City, QC. We’re also gearing up to open a new showroom in USA in the near future. For specific addresses and operating hours, please refer to our contact page.

Can I personally visit one of your pickup locations to view your products?

While our services extend throughout North America and we maintain two warehouse locations in Canada, please note that our pickup locations are the storage facilities of our carrier company. After placing an order with us, you have two options: the first is to have your merchandise shipped to your home address, and the second option is to pick up your order at the nearest designated pickup location.

What is the process for obtaining samples of your products?

Receiving samples from us is simple. If you’re in proximity to one of our showroom locations, we encourage you to visit. During your visit, our sales representatives will provide you with complimentary samples, along with a free quote, product specifications, and additional product information.

Alternatively, you can order samples online. These samples are offered free of charge, but there may be a nominal fee for doorstep delivery.

 

Why are your prices lower than those of your competitors?

Our prices are lower because we sell our own brand directly to you, cutting out middlemen and offering factory-direct prices. This also lets us connect directly with our customers

Do you sell to homeowners, or is your focus primarily on contractors and resellers?

We make products with families in mind, and many of our items are designed for easy installation by homeowners. So, we cater to everyone, including homeowners!

Do you provide installation services, and are installation charges included in your prices?

SGC specializes in product sales only. Our price quotes cover the cost of the materials. If you need installation, we can connect you with trusted contractors who have experience working with our products and have received positive feedback from our customers in the past.

What payment methods are available for purchasing SGC products?

You can make payments for your SGC products purchase using Visa, Mastercard, and Amex.* Bank/Wire transfers are also accepted. For clients in Canada, we offer payments through Interac e-Transfer.

I'm not comfortable with online shopping. Can I place an order by phone?

Your comfort is important to us, and we aim to make your shopping experience as convenient as possible. We offer multiple secure online payment options using ‘GLOBAL PAYMENTS.’ However, if you prefer to place your order over the phone, we are more than happy to assist you. How will my SGC products be shipped, and what's the cost?

Shipping methods and costs vary for each order, but we work to provide the best and most affordable delivery options for you.

How long will it take to get my SGC products shipment?

The delivery time for SGC products varies depending on your specific order. We employ different carrier companies for deliveries across North America. As soon as you make a purchase, we’ll send you an email with the tracking information, and you’ll receive updates while your order is in transit.

What is your return policy?

To initiate a return, please contact our toll-free number at 1-877-333-7081. One of our sales representatives will guide you through the return process. When calling, kindly provide your order number and the reason for your return.

It’s important to note that we can exchange or refund items returned in their original condition within 30 days from the original purchase date. Custom cut products, however, are not eligible for refunds.

Additionally, we cannot issue refunds for delays caused by the carrier. SGC reserves the right to approve or deny a refund, as well as the discretion to cancel an order. Please be aware that in the case of a refund, a 20% return/restocking fee will be deducted from the refunded amount.

How can I exchange any purchases that I made from you?

We do not process exchanges. You can only return/refund a merchandise that you purchased. Please follow the return/refund instructions, and then place a new order.

Can I get artificial grass custom-cut to my desired length?

Our artificial grass is available in pre-cut widths of 12ft, with a few models also coming in 6ft. We offer full rolls in dimensions of 12ft x 100ft and 60ft x 50ft. If you have specific length requirements, we can customize the turf accordingly to suit your needs.

Do you have any leftover pieces or scraps available for purchase?

Yes, for clients looking for smaller quantities of grass, we offer our EzLawn model, which comes in sizes of 3ft x 5ft, 5ft x 5ft, and 5ft x 7ft. These are suitable for various smaller-scale projects.

Is it safe for children to play on your artificial turf?

Absolutely, our artificial turf is child-friendly and environmentally safe. We’re proud to say that all our turf is LEAD FREE certified, so you can confidently choose it for your loved ones. for more informations check our artificial turf for playground and schools.

Which artificial turf models do you suggest for a pet-friendly system?

For a pet-friendly turf system, we recommend options with a polyurethane (PU) backing. These do not retain sweat, liquids, or urine, effectively reducing cleanliness and odor issues associated with dogs and artificial grass. We also advise regular washing with a pet urine deodorizer. Additionally, we offer a range of products, including artificial turf cleaner, deodorizer, and infill specifically designed for pet systems, which can help maintain a hygienic pet area.

Why are there numerous grass varieties available?

The diversity in grass options caters to individual preferences. Some clients favor shorter grass fibers with dark green tones, while others prefer longer ones with lighter or olive green shades. Moreover, each type of grass serves distinct purposes, with some being perfect for indoor gyms and crossfit, while others are better suited for outdoor activities, and specific models are designed for golf or baseball applications.

What significance does the shape of turf yarn hold?

The blade shape of turf yarn imparts texture and various color tones to the grass fibers, ultimately impacting the performance of artificial turf. Does artificial grass heat up significantly in the summer?

While artificial grass may not stay as cool as natural grass, it doesn’t get as hot as some other surfaces. Is artificial grass environmentally friendly?

What is the lifespan of artificial grass?

When you invest in any of our grass models from the Perfect Lawn series, you’ll receive a 10-year warranty for all our versions. However, rest assured that the grass is built to last even longer!

Is infill necessary for the turf?

Infill usage is discretionary and varies depending on your project. We suggest using infill in high-traffic areas. Additionally, for grass with low density, infill can be beneficial as it adds weight to make it look fuller.

Can I use 8" nails with the Poly Green product?

Yes, the 8″ spiral nails are typically used to secure the perimeter of the grass. They work well if you prefer to create a border around your putting green area. Alternatively, you can fold the Poly Green down after filling in the excavated area and insert the nails at an angle to hide the nail heads.

Can I use SGC Zeolite with the Poly Green product?

The Poly Green product is designed to perform at its best without any infill. The grass fibers are woven to provide top-class performance without requiring additional infill. If you prefer to use infill, we recommend using the finest quality sand infill with our Poly Green model, as SGC Zeolite has coarse grains and may not be suitable for this specific product.

Can I store my roll of grass for installation next year?

Yes, you can store the roll of grass for future installation. However, it’s essential to store it indoors. Exposure to sunlight can lead to heat buildup and potential damage to the tarp and fiber melting. So, to preserve the quality of the grass, keep it indoors until you’re ready to install it.

How can I install the grass on my deck without causing damage?

To install artificial grass on your deck without causing damage, consider using a roofing membrane as a protective layer for the wood deck before laying the artificial grass. This extra layer can help safeguard your deck while ensuring a secure installation of the grass.

What's the best way to secure the grass around a pool?

To secure the grass around a pool, you can use dry sand. It effectively holds the grass in place and doesn’t stick to wet feet, ensuring a stable and safe surface.

How can I clean indoor artificial turf?

Cleaning indoor artificial turf is simple. You can use a vacuum to remove dirt and dust from the grass, and a mop to clean it. However, avoid using a steam machine as the high heat may potentially damage the turf fibers.

What sizes are available for your composite decking boards?

SGC provides EzDeck composite deck boards in 12-foot and 16-foot lengths.All standard decking, nosing, and fascia boards in a package have the same length.

Can you accommodate custom cuts for deck boards at your distribution center?

Unfortunately, we do not offer custom cutting services for our deck boards. However, customers who pick up their merchandise at our Mississauga Distribution Center have the option to bring their own saw and make the necessary cuts to achieve their desired lengths.

Do you offer white composite boards?

Yes, in response to popular demand, we are delighted to introduce white fascia boards. You can find them in our Elite EzDeck collection. For more information, please contact our sales representative.

What composite decking brands are available in your inventory?

From the very beginning, our focus has been on marketing and selling our own product. Our EzDeck composite decking boards have consistently made a significant impact in the composite deck market. Despite competing against larger brands, EzDeck has consistently delivered on its promises.

Will the color of the deck fade over time?

To minimize the risk of color fading, we recommend considering our EzDeck Elite or PVC Premium series deck boards. These boards come with a 25-year warranty and a Lifetime warranty, respectively. They are equipped with a protective shield to guard against fading, staining, scratching, moisture, and mildew.

Does composite decking become very hot in the summer?

Similar to any outdoor surface, composite decking can become warm in hot weather. However, it doesn’t tend to get significantly hotter than wood decks. The temperature of your deck is influenced by factors such as its location and color.

Which clips are suitable for my composite decking?

SGC provides three distinct types of fasteners for our EzDeck composite decking boards:

  • Nylon clips designed for all our series.
  • Stainless Steel clips ideal for our elite & tropical series.
  • Coated Stainless Steel fasteners for our PVC premium series.

What is the spacing between the clips for the boards?

The Nylon clips create a 6mm (1/4 inch) gap between the boards.

What is the maximum joist span you recommend for your composite decking boards?

We suggest a maximum joist span of 14 inches for our composite decking boards. If you have 16-inch joist spans, we recommend using a 2×4 to shorten the distance. For more detailed information, please consult our EzDeck installation guide.

Why should I use EzDeck Rain Protect and EzDeck Protect?

EzDeck Rain Protect is a membrane that establishes a drainage system, allowing water to drain effectively. It enhances the lifespan of your deck’s joists by shielding them from moisture and potential mold caused by snow and rain.

On the other hand, EzDeck Protect is a deck adhesive tape applied on top of deck joists, ribbon boards, and structural posts. This tape wraps around the joist structure to create a waterproof seal, preventing decay and rot in the framework beneath your deck.

 

Can I use a different transformer with the EzLED lights for stairs and fascia?

The EzLED lights are supplied with a specific power source, and it’s important to note that these lights can only be used with the provided power supply. Mixing them with a different transformer is not recommended.

How many individual LEDs can be connected to a single EzLED power supply?

With a single EzLED power supply, you can connect up to 50 meters of LED lights, which typically equates to around 50 individual lights.

Is it safe to shovel snow off my composite deck?

Yes, you can safely remove accumulated snow from your composite deck using a plastic shovel.

Can I use salt or ice melt on my composite deck?

Yes, it is entirely safe to use ice melt or rock salt on your composite deck. These substances are harmless and won’t cause any damage to the deck.

What's the best way to clean a deck?

You can clean your composite deck by using a high-pressure washer (not an industrial one). However, before washing the entire deck, we recommend testing the washer on a small area to ensure it works effectively without causing any damage.

I have a two-sided deck. Can I install one side now and the other side a few months later?

While it’s a practical way to manage your budget, we recommend installing all the decking at one time. This is because manufacturing runs can lead to slight variations in the hues of the deck boards, and completing the installation in one go helps ensure consistent color matching across your entire deck.

How long are the composite fence boards?

The composite fence boards are each 6.5 feet in length.

What sets apart the Chrome and Matte aluminum posts?

SGC provides two aluminum fence options: Chrome and Matte. Chrome posts are coated with wet paint, which is the traditional method. In contrast, Matte posts are powder-coated, offering an eco-friendly and more durable alternative that’s resistant to chipping and general wear and tear.

What is the minimum and maximum height for the EzFence system?

The recommended height for the Standard EzFence system is 6 feet, but you have the flexibility to go up to 9 feet. There is no strict minimum height, as the posts can be easily cut to your desired height using an aluminum saw.

What are the dimensions of the EzFence Chrome and Matte aluminum posts?

The EzFence Chrome and Matte aluminum posts measure 3×3 inches and are available in lengths of 50 inches, 74 inches, and 108 inches. It’s worth noting that there is no fixed minimum height for these posts, as they can be easily cut to your desired height using an aluminum saw.

Can you custom cut the composite fence boards?

We do not offer custom cutting services for our composite fence boards.

Do you custom cut the aluminum posts?

We do not custom cut our aluminum posts for fence.

What installation options do you offer for your aluminum posts?

  • Setting/Burying the posts in Concrete: Place 3 feet of the fence post in a 4-foot deep hole and secure it with concrete.
  • Bolting the Posts on a Solid Base: Suitable for cemented or asphalt flooring, the posts can be bolted onto the surface
  • Fascia Mounting: This involves mounting a privacy fence using a bracket on the fascia of an existing deck.
  • Bolting the posts on a Retaining Wall: You can construct a fence on top of a retaining wall with a sturdy foundation.
  • Screwing the posts on top of a deck: This method entails screwing a privacy fence onto an existing wood or composite deck.

Do you offer composite posts?

No, we do not have composite posts in our product range.

Can I match the color of the posts with the EzFence boards?

In our EzFence system, we provide black Chrome and Matte aluminum posts with all packages, ensuring color coordination with the boards.

Can I use your aluminum posts with your EzDeck boards?

While we offer color-matching options for both fencing and decking, we do not recommend using our EzDeck boards for fencing. Our EzFence system includes black Chrome and Matte aluminum posts with all packages for fencing purposes.

Do you offer railings?

We’re excited to announce that in response to strong customer demand, SGC introduced railings in 2021. Our customers appreciate the aluminum Chrome and Matte posts included in our EzFence composite fencing packages, and we’re proud to expand our product offerings to include railings.

What tools are necessary for installing your EzFence system?

How can I cut the posts and beams?

You can cut any of our aluminum products using a general-purpose wood blade.
